About us
Jon Lausteen & the Donkees is a high-energy trio from Bodø, Norway, blending alternative rock with touches of americana, funk, pop and soul. Their sound is warm, organic and powerful, driven by strong melodies, big choruses and a thundering rhythm section that gives the songs both weight and movement. Built on shared musical vision and years of experience, the band brings a tight, dynamic and engaging live show while currently working toward the release of its debut EP later this year.

Fronted by Jon Lausteen, a well-known name in the local music scene, the band brings together experience, chemistry, and a clear musical direction. Jon is also recognized from TLQ, once described as “the hottest name in Norwegian blues.” After winning the Norwegian Blues Championship in Notodden in 2015, Jon and the band went on to perform on major stages across Europe and tour the United States on a smaller scale. With a growing desire to focus on original material, Jon Lausteen & the Donkees was created as a new project built together from the ground up, sharing a clear vision, years of playing experience, and a powerful live foundation.
